Making 150 servings
- Multiply family serving size quantities by 25, so:
- 
10 large cabbages
 25 onions
 2 lbs bacon, fried and chopped
 1½ gallons cider vinegar
 salt
 pepper
 2 bunches of parsley and one red cabbage for garnishing

Grate the purple cabbage separately and use it to add color to your serving bowls: rings on top of the rest of the slaw, a bright purple border underneath, or even mixed throughout.
